Wanted bulletins out for suspects in Lethem arms cache

THE Guyana Police Force yesterday issued wanted bulletins for  Ricardo Ignatius Rodrigues called ‘Fatman’ and Clive Lloyd King called ‘Bora’, both of whom are said to be suspects in the recent arms bust where  a number of high-powered weapons, ammunition and explosives, including grenades were discovered in a yard in the Guyana-Brazil border town of Lethem. Stopping short of directly linking Rodrigues and King to the Lethem arms bust, police said the duo  are “wanted by the police for questioning in relation to the unlawful possession of arms and ammunition.”

Complexion: Brown

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Rodrigues and King is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers: 226-1333, 225-2722, 772-2087, 225-8196, 225-6411, 911 or the nearest police station.

Meanwhile, some unconfirmed media reports have indicated that Rodrigues and King are cousins. Rodrigues is also said to be a close associate of Shaheed ‘Roger’ Khan who is serving a jail sentence in the United States for cocaine trafficking.

Last Monday, police raided a house at Tabatinga, Lethem and found four automatic rifles along with four magazines and 389 rounds of 7.62×39 calibre ammunition; six M-16 rifles along with two magazines and 74 matching rounds; two shrapnel hand grenades; one Icon VHF radio set; one Icon hand-held radio set; and one roll of camouflage material.
