Jumbo Jet Auto Sales donates school bus to CIOG

THE Al Ghazali Islamic Academy located on Woolford Avenue, Georgetown, on Tuesday received a 30-seater coaster bus, valued more than $5M, from Mr. and Mrs. Nasrudeen Mohamed and family of the Berbice-based Jumbo Jet Auto Sales Company.

altMrs. Rose Mohammed and her daughter, Melissa, handed over the keys to the brand new school bus to Miss Akeela Assad, Principal of the Al Ghazali Islamic Academy, in the presence of Chief Education Officer of the CIOG, Shaik Moeenul Hack.
The bus has been presented to the Al Ghazali Academy, a school attached to the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG).
Both Ms Assad and Mr Hack expressed gratitude to the Nasrudeen family for the generous donation.
According to Hack, ‘Reaching to the unreached’ is the goal of the CIOG; and to accommodate the growing educational needs of the Guyanese community, especially the poor and vulnerable, the CIOG has acquired, by Allah’s mercy and grace, one school bus from Mr. Mohammed Nasrudeen and family.
Hack said that once traversing the established route, this bus is expected to enable the vulnerable and poor students to travel safely, securely, and conveniently to and from school, thus ensuring their regular attendance at that institution.
The goal of the CIOG, he said, is to continue making a difference in the lives of the children of the poor by allowing them to access education, hence allowing them an opportunity to maximize their potential.
He said that with help of donations from supporters such as Mr. Mohamed, the CIOG will continue to see improvements in this noble cause
