Elderly convict back in prison for threatening pensioner

Paul Abel, who recently completed serving a prison term, is once again an inmate at Lot 12 Camp Street after he was remanded to prison By Magistrate Alex Moore. It was alleged at the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Court that Paul Abel, a repeated convict, made use of threatening language to Joyce Cummings.
This incident is said to have occurred on Sunday  August 9, at 118 South Better Hope, East Coast Demerara.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The complainant, Joyce Cummings, stressed that ever since the defendant was released from prison a few weeks ago, his conduct has not improved in any way and in fact it had deteriorated.
The prosecutor objected to pre trial freedom for Abel, and he was remanded by Magistrate Alex Moore.
