Attempted suicide remanded

A CARPENTER who attempted to commit suicide was yesterday remanded to prison since he poses  a danger to himself. Kemford Bagot, 38, of Tucville Squatting Area, appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton and pleaded not guilty to the charge, which stated that on August 18, he attempted to commit suicide.
Police Inspector Burgett Grant, prosecuting, objected to bail on the ground that the defendant poses a danger to himself.
The defendant told the court that he is living with his girlfriend and he is not mentally or physically stable.
The magistrate remanded the defendant and ordered that he receive medical assistance.
The matter will be called again on September 27.
