Cabinet Secretary labels Region 10 Chairman ‘duplicitous’–‘a mere pawn’ in PNCR’s Aubrey Norton’s game

CABINET Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon at his weekly post-Cabinet press briefing called Region Ten’s Chairman, Sharma Solomon, a mere pawn in the hands of PNCR member, Aubrey Norton.
He further accused Solomon of continuing to negotiate with the government under the permissive guise and role of APNU’s leadership, and to proclaim that not only are steps being made and that the engagement is progressing, but that a final solution is just around the corner.
Clearly flummoxed by this unfortunate turn of events, Dr Luncheon said: “This situation begs the question: Who exactly is in control? In the meantime, Lindeners struggle to make sense of this mess that they are in, that is being prolonged by the Solomon-North nexus… The neophytes are being allowed to damage the prospects of Linden.”
He however noted that whatever the mistakes were in the beginning, efforts have been made and continue to be made to resolve the situation, and that the basis for the continued posture no longer exists.

Headway made
Dr. Luncheon declared that the insertion of the joint services in Linden has been decisive in the changes in the situation, in that the Mackenzie side is a lot freer for Lindeners. He also feels the same will hold true for Wismar, as Lindeners will abandon the aimless quest of Solomon and his ilk.

“The development in Mackenzie will remain irreversible as long as there exists the need to protect civil order…,” Dr Luncheon said, adding:  “The activities of the Joint Services in Wismar point to a sustainable future of normalcy… Again, this Administration asks: Who is in charge? Dictating otherwise and claiming to be acting in the best interest of Lindeners?”

Resolve

Asked whether or not a criminal investigation into the killing of three protestors on the bridge has been launched, Dr Luncheon said that the resolve with the opposition is for a Presidential Commission of Inquiry, which will provide answers relating to the incident.
President Donald Ramotar on Thursday paid a visit to Linden, where he met with residents at the Watooka Guest House, thereby fulfilling a promise made to meet them face-to-face.
Whilst in Linden, His Excellency visited sections of the Linmine Secretariat that were burnt, and the Wismar/Mackenzie Bridge. (GINA)
