The Laparkan Group of Companies on Thursday held its annual bursary awards for children of their employees who were successful in the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA), 2012. This year’s bursary awardees were: Darin Sukalingum, Tanavia Anderson, Sasha Shivdayal, Neil Walcott, Tiana Austin and Deviana Budhram.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Managing Director of The Laparkan Group, Babita Rambrich, stated: “The Laparkan Group has over the years stood firm to its mission of giving back to customers, employees, and the community with education being one of the pillars of our corporate responsibility.”
The Laparkan Bursary Awards Programme was launched in 1997 and to this date has 88 awardees.
In addition, The Laparkan Group also has a Teachers’ Incentive Scheme which has been in existence for the past 12 years and which seeks to reward teachers for exemplary performance.
Rambrich also congratulated the awardees and their parents, as well as other top students in the country in both the NGSA and the Caribbean Secondary Education certificate (CSEC)Examinations.
