RAYON Hoppie (no address given) was placed before the court charged with assault causing actual bodily harm. IT is alleged that on August 1, at Durban Street, Lodge, Rayon Hoppie assaulted his reputed wife, Abigail Brown, so as to cause her actual bodily harm.
Brown, meanwhile, was charged with using abusive language to Rayon Hoppie.
Appearing before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamillton yesterday, both parties pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Brown and Hoppie informed the court that they had reconciled their differences and wished to settle the matter. They allegedly told the police they wanted to avoid a court session, but to no avail. They then declared that they did not wish to give evidence against each other.
They were both cautioned, and the matter was dismissed as a result of settlement.
