A 24-year-old mother of three infant children was brutally murdered Sunday afternoon at Riverstown Village, Essequibo Coast, by her husband. Reports said the woman, Rabina Singh known as ‘Viddo’ was strangled in a muddy pool of water in a yard at Riverstown Village, after a heated argument with her husband.
Reports from the village said the 24-year-old woman was an employee of Jaigobin’s Supermarket at Henrietta, and worked in the pop corn section.
The woman is reported to have died cruelly, after her husband held her head down in the muddy pool of water for several minutes.
Rabina hails from the Anna Regina New Housing Scheme.
Meanwhile, the woman’s husband escaped into the backlands and is said to have sent several messages via text, to relatives, stating that he would commit suicide.
Police are investigating and are searching the backlands for the killer.
