MICHAEL Kudjoe appeared yesterday before Sparendaam Magistrate Alex Moore, charged with causing damage to property and with assault. Police allege that, on July 1, at Triumph, East Coast Demerara, Kudjoe damaged a Motorola cellular phone valued at $50,000, property of Sherwin De Freitas; and on July 13, allegedly assaulted Sherwin De Freitas at Triumph, East Coast Demerara.
Kudjoe pleaded not guilty to both charges, and was placed on $40,000 bail. A tearful Kudjoe fell on his knees and begged Magistrate Moore to lower his bail, but to no avail.
He has to return to court on July 28 for report.
