Ministers Manickchand and Webster at CEDAW’s annual meeting in New York

Minister Webster delivered an opening statement before the Committee to review the implementation of CEDAW yesterday, during which she noted how honoured Guyana was to participate in the 52nd Session of the CEDAW, particularly with respect to the review of Guyana’s 7th and 8th Reports covering the period 2004- 2010.
“This occasion offers an opportunity for us to share our country’s experiences, successes, progress and challenges, both new and old. I am pleased to provide an introductory statement…” Minister Webster told the meeting. (See tomorrow’s edition for a full report)
