Surinamese nationals remanded on possession of unlicensed firearms charge

On Wednesday last, two Suriname nationals were remanded to prison until June 28 when they made their first court appearance at the Springlands Magistrate’s Court in Berbice to answer to charges of being in possession of firearms without being the licensed holders. Police reported that Dwayne McIntosh, 27, and Sylvester Alpin, 20, both of Suriname, were found with two unlicensed shotguns at Orealla boat landing.
