Very confusing that Ramjattan will become AFC leader

IT WAS very confusing to note the article in the Stabroek News of Thursday, July 21, stating that Khemraj Ramjattan will soon become the Leader of the AFC.
I thought the man was already the leader of that party.
Where on earth does the AFC get off in misleading and lying to the people of Guyana? The article clearly states that the Speaker of the National Assembly, Raphael Trotman, is also the leader of a parliamentary political party, the AFC!
How can that be possible? The Speaker was elected six months ago, and should have immediately relinquished his position as leader of his party. The Stabroek News story says he did not.
How can he preside over an institution made up of three political parties and remain impartial? I say he cannot! This situation, brought to my attention by the Stabroek News, has made me rethink my position as supporter of the AFC. It seems that what I used to think of as PPP propaganda is nothing more than the truth. The Opposition is lying to the nation.
Are these the people who are calling on Guyanese to fight corruption, when they are partaking and exercising it from the top, in black and white, blatantly for the world to see, and don’t give a hoot about what others think?
I suggest that Trotman should IMMEDIATELY resign from either his position as Speaker of the National Assembly, or as Leader of the AFC. I further suggest that all decisions made in the National Assembly during his tenure when he held both positions be revised and overturned.
Why? Because the decisions made by the Speaker since his election to the office were clearly biased, since he was wearing two hats and was not impartial in performing his duties.
These are the people that Guyanese voted for leadership positions, and they have clearly shown, as least to me, that they were not worth voting for.
I, for one, know they have lost at least ten votes from the adult members of my family. It might not be much, but as they very well know, one can make a difference.
It is too great a deception not to take umbrage to.
