WHEN one reads this piece and on seeing the protest one has to wonder why those in high authority are still around and running City Hall. “Employees of the Mayor and City Council (M&CC) who are represented by the Guyana Local Government Officers Union (GLGOU) staged a protest yesterday over a four percent deduction from their April month salaries.”
As I have said twice before and will say it for the third time that the PPP/C Government must not fall for the trap union bosses are laying, begging government to install an interim management committee to take care of the matter of corruption of City Hall.
Elections must be called to have incompetence removed from the head of City Hall by the very people who are protesting against City Hall since they are the ones who voted for its leaders.
Not having money to pay workers is nothing new to the man who is Mayor of Georgetown.
The Mayor and his PNC cohorts were the ones to bankrupt Guyana and is doing same to the people of Georgetown at present.
As I have said before if elections are not held to have this incompetence removed once and for all and at the rate the PNC and its baby arm AFC are going in parliament, this plague will spread like wild fire all across Guyana.

Mr.Ramjattan dares not utter one single word about corruption at City Hall for fear of the PNC’s wrath which will be so harsh he will escape in a hurry out of politics.

Those anti-PPP/C bloggers that blog on SN blog site loves calling for jail time for PPP/C ministers, but not a single word of even bringing charges against any of those at City Hall.
