A deplorable community

AS a resident of Kitty for several years, I cannot believe how this community has become of such deplorable state. To summarise the situation, Kitty was once an ideal place to live, being close to the heart of the city of Georgetown. It was tranquil, free from crimes of all nature, and a great sense of respect circulated among the community.

I remember that people could have left clothes on the clothesline at nights to dry and retrieve them the following mornings; the environment was conducive to studying; and everyone shared relationships of family rather than neighbours. The area was so lively and colourful, particularly on Saturday mornings at the Kitty Market.

Now, let me hit you with reality. Kitty has become a very vulgar community plagued by many sins. Everything operates contrary to the description given in paragraphs two and three above. Even the birds do not whistle sweetly at sunrise anymore.

Isn’t this article a perfect example of ignoring our responsibilities towards our communities and, ultimately, our country?
