APNU/AFC action not surprising

IT CAME as no surprise to me to hear from the mouth of Carl Greenidge, former finance minister in the autocratic rule of the Burnham years, that he has no apologies to make over the workers losing their jobs as a result of the absurd budget cuts put into effect by his (Greenidges) proposals in Parliament. This was subsequently confirmed by APNU when referring to their perception on the operations of the Government Information Agency (GINA).
To my mind and political experience, Greenidge has not yet been qualified as a politician to understand the trauma created in the minds of workers finding themselves unemployed; but it is his party, the APNU, over which I am most surprised at their lack of distinguishing the very fine line between party forming the government and the resultant administration.
GINA has been doing a very good — and perhaps outstandingly effective — constitutional job of information dissemination, and this has attracted the misplaced wrath of both the APNU and AFC, who are oblivious to the fact that the government’s several successes in most areas of the country, as well as ongoing development programmes, must be publicised effectively; which has been happening, rather than receiving the wrath of the opposition parties.
They should be proud to hear of the forward movement which is taking place in the country.
The electorate will want to hear of the real reasons why the opposition is up in arms against the GINA.
