Schoolboy falls out of pick-up on way home

–head scan done to determine nature, severity of injuries
EIGHT-year-old Isaiah Waldron of Perth Village, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital on Tuesday, nursing injuries to the head contracted from falling out of a pick-up while on his way home from school.
His distraught mother, Sharon Waldron, said she was at home on Tuesday afternoon when she received a message that her son, a pupil of the Strath Campbell Primary School at Mahaicony, had fallen out of a vehicle and was injured.
It was decided that the child should have a head scan done to determine the nature and severity of his injuries, especially since there was a visible sign of injury above his left eye.
His mother said she learnt that the child fell out of the vehicle on a branch road, and not on the main Mahaicony thoroughfare.
He was initially taken to the Mahaicony Hospital, but was later transferred to the GPHC.
