Minibus driver fined for not wearing seat belt

MINIBUS driver Quacy Bacchus (no address provided) was fined $7,500 with the alternative of two weeks imprisonment, on Tuesday, for not wearing a seat belt. He appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore, at Sparendaam Court, East Coast and pleaded guilty to committing the offence while driving BKK 611 on February 16.
The magistrate also warned the defendant that such offences would not be tolerated on the roadways, no matter what.
