THE Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, in association with the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association, will be running off the Mashramani Junior Competition at the Andrew ‘Sixhead’ Lewis Gym, Albouystown today from 17:00hrs. Gyms already registered to participate – Harpy Eagles, Essequibo, Five-Star, Pocket Rocket, Tiger Eye, Young Achievers and Forgotten Youth Foundation among others – will have their representatives in action during the two-day tournament.
This is another opportunity for the amateur boxers to showcase their skill since the year has started and boxers such as Kelvin Allicock, Quincy Boyce, Jamal Eastman, Essequibo’s Christopher Timmerman and Joel Williamson, just to name a few, will be on show.
There will also be exhibition matches with amateur boxers from the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Gym.
