Gizmos & Gadgets renews sponsorship with RHTYSC

GIZMOS and Gadgets has for the third successive year renewed its cricket sponsorship with top Berbice first division team, Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets, to the tune of $275 000 plus 20 pairs of coloured clothing. The Company’s Marketing Manager Ewart Sampson handed over the sponsorship cheque to Secretary/CEO of the club Hilbert Foster at a simple ceremony last Thursday.
Sampson stated that Gizmos & Gadgets was proud to be associated with the leading club in Guyana and was very satisfied that the players were representing his Company’s brand well, on and off the cricket field.
Secretary/CEO Hilbert foster expressed gratitude to Gizmos & Gadgets for its continued investment in the Club and noted that the team played unbeaten in 2011 and in the process won the Busta Champion of Champions, Universal DVD 20/10, Ramcharitar Construction Services 50-Over Knock-out titles and several others.
The team also produced several players who represented Berbice and Guyana at the senior level including Assad Fudadin, Royston Crandon, Rajiv Ivan, Shawn Pereira, Renwick Batson and Esaun Crandon.
The veteran Cricket Administrator also informed the sponsor that the team in 2011 undertook a total of 16 personal development and community development programmes including the Lower Corentyne Teachers Award Programme, Tribute to Heroes, Feeding of the Poor Programme, Patricia Moniz Educational Trust Fund and the Annual Cricket Academy.
Foster also assured the Management and Staff of Gizmos & Gadgets that his club would continue to be the best in Guyana as it has set itself the target of 130 projects/programmes in 2012 while it hopes to dominate cricket in Berbice at all levels.
The RHTYSC first division team, since its formation in 1992, have won numerous first division titles in the Ancient County while producing six senior national players and a total of 52 for Berbice at all levels.
