Berbice Cricket Board starts

preparation for  Under-15 Tournament.
THE Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) as is the norm would be starting early preparation for the upcoming Inter-County Under-15 Tournament.
Despite the fact that the tournament is over two months away, the Coaching Department of the Berbice Cricket Board headed by Julian Moore will be conducting sessions for all Under-15 players at four venues across the ancient county from today.
The coaches will be conducting sessions at the Blairmont Community Centre for Under-15 players from the West Berbice area while tomorrow they move  to  the Berbice High School ground for players from the East Bank, New Amsterdam/Canje district.
On Wednesday, the coaches will be at the Area “H” ground for Lower Corentyne players and the sessions  conclude on Friday 27th January, at the Skeldon Community Centre for Upper/Central Corentyne players.
All the sessions will start at 15.30 hrs and players born on or after the 1st September, 1996 are being encouraged to attend.
The BCB at the end of the sessions will be releasing the names of a forty man junior elite training squad to start intense preparation for the Under-15 Tournament.
Clubs across Berbice are also encouraged to start preparation for the Tenelec Inc 2012 Inter-club and NCN Inter-zone Under-15 Tournaments which will start shortly.
The Special Events Committee would also be conducting cricket clinics for junior spinners, batsmen, fast bowlers and wicket keepers over the next two weeks as the Berbice Cricket Board intends to concentrate on coaching in the early part of 2012.
