THE remains of an unidentified male was found at Montrose Seawall, on the East Coast of Demerara, around 19:30 hrs on Sunday night, by a fisherman. The man who made the discovery when he went to clear his boat said the corpse was partially decomposed.
Onlookers gathered at the scene told the media that there were no head and arms attached to what was visible from the waist to the ankle.
The deceased was clad in brown jeans and a green underwear and there was speculation that it may have been washed ashore with the high tide.
Police have since launched an investigation and the dead was taken to Lyken’s Funeral Home where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination.
