JOHN Blanchard, accused of murdering three children, was further remanded to prison yesterday when he made another appearance before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry in Georgetown. He was informed that his case has been transferred to Providence Court, where the preliminary inquiry (PI) will be conducted and the case would be called on January 6.
Blanchard is charged with the murders of his two children, Joy and Daniel Blanchard, as well as his stepdaughter, Belika Blanchard.
It is alleged that on October 11, at their Soesdyke home, also on East Bank Demerara, he killed Belika and Daniel and seriously wounded Joy who subsequently succumbed at Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).
