A MINIBUS driver and his conductor are in police custody, after a taped package of marijuana, weighing one kilogram was found in their vehicle, BKK 5566, which was parked along the Bloomfield Public Road last Saturday afternoon. Police on mobile patrol had earlier observed that two minibuses were hindering the free flow of traffic on the roadway. Onlookers said one of the drivers was armed with a cutlass, while abusing another, when the police intervened.
The men were ordered to drive to Whim Police station where a search was conducted on the passenger bus and the brown paper parcel was found concealed behind the driver’s seat.
Investigations are continuing.
