..wins for Mill Ballers and Pele
THIS year’s 22nd Annual Kashif and Shanghai Football tournament got underway yesterday afternoon at the GCC ground , Bourda with victories  for  Mill Ballers out of Bartica, while top club Pele destroyed newcomerss  Timehri Panthers 10-0.
Mill Ballers in the first match won the match of the debutants, taking care of  Kuru Kuru Lions 2-1 in extra time.

After the first game of the double-header Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Dr. Frank Anthony, Chief Executive Officer of Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company Yog Mahadeo, Marketing Manager of Ansa McAl Troy Cadogan, Acting President of the GFF Franklyn Wilson and codirector of the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation Greg ‘Kashif’ Muhammad  took part in the opening ceremony as the 20  participating teams which includes Caledonia AIA from Trinidad and Tobago and Caribbean United from Barbados featured in the march-past  Also gracing the tournament with his presence was newly-elected President of Guyana Donald Ramotar, while Prime Minsister Sam Hinds was also there.
