Cricket legend Greenidge wins AIDS Day tournament

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) – West Indies batting legend Gordon Greenidge partnered with Trinidadian Carlos Baynes to win this year’s inaugural Celebrating Life World AIDS Day Golf tournament here last weekend. Playing at the Millennium Lakes Golf and Country Club in Trincity, Greenidge who played 108 Tests for West Indies in an illustrious career spanning 17 years and Baynes shot a round of 13-under 58 to win by two shots. The pair of Robbie Narine and Neemeedas Chandool were second while Kenneth Edwards and Kendall Lowhar also shot 60 but finished third.
The tournament was held to raise funds in aid of Celebrating Life, a group dedicated to AIDS awareness and spreading the message of the epidemic’s effects on Caribbean society.
