The Guyana Police Force (GPF) yesterday said that, in order to facilitate security arrangements for General and Regional Elections, the following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic from 06:00hrs on Friday, November 25, 2011 until further notice: ** High Street, between Cowan and Barrack Streets, Georgetown; and
** Cowan Street, between High and Fort Streets, Georgetown.
In addition, the following traffic restrictions, which are currently in place, will continue until further notice:
** Water Street, between Cowan and Barrack Streets, Georgetown – two way traffic.
** Barrack Street, between High and Water Streets, Georgetown – one way traffic flowing west.
** Fort Street, between Cowan and Barrack Streets, Georgetown – one way traffic flowing north.
