Teen charged with beheading cousin makes court appearance

SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD Royston McAllister called Junior has been charged with the murder of his cousin, Stefon Bacchus known as Stefon Durant, who was beheaded.
The accused was remanded to prison, until December 5, when he appeared before Magistrate Krishendat Persaud at Springlands Court, on the charge which said he unlawfully killed Bacchus on November 10, last week Wednesday, at Grant 1802 Crabwood Creek, Corentyne.
It is alleged that the two relatives had an argument over laziness in the kitchen that caused the one to behead the other.
A post mortem examination, by Dr. Vivikanand Brijmohan, found that death was due to shock and haemorrhage, fracture of the cervical spine and transception of the spinal cord.
Bacchus was buried on Monday in his home village, Kortberaad, East Bank Berbice.
