TWENTY-FOUR-YEAR-OLD Mohan Lall Ramjag, of Grove, East Bank Demerara, was sentenced to seven days imprisonment by Magistrate Krishendat Persaud, in the New Amsterdam Court, Berbice, for damage to property.
The welder pleaded guilty, on Monday, admitting that he broke two louvre panes belonging to his mother-in-law Sarojonie Patpoo.
Police Inspector Satrohan Dayaram, prosecuting, said Ramjag and his wife had a misunderstanding and she went to her mother’s home, at Nigg Settlement, Corentyne, also in Berbice.
However, the prisoner followed a few hours after but was barred from entering the house. Consequently, he became annoyed and broke the window panes, the prosecutor said.
