Civilians in altercation with cops facing several charges

TWO men, who, allegedly, had an altercation with plainclothes detectives were each ordered to post $100,000 bail by Magistrate Krishendat Persaud, in New Amsterdam Court on Monday.
Orin Babb, 27, of Lot 263 Errolsville Housing Scheme and Shelton Seales 26, of Lot 29 Howard’s Ally, also in New Amsterdam, are charged jointly on three counts of assaulting peace officers Lawerence Thomas, Phillip Walters and Chatenand Jysingh.
They also faced a joint charge of disorderly behaviour in a public way and within public hearing.
Babb is also charged with, on October 15, obstructing policemen Thomas and Walters and resisting peace officer Walters.
Seales is charged with resisting Police Corporals Thomas and Walters, all following an incident involving the civilians and the cops at the Castle Night Club in Chapel Street, New Amsterdam on Saturday night.
They are expected to return to Court on November 28.
