Mothers who protested against molestation should have been supported

SOMETIME ago, PNC diehard Lurlene Nestor made some scathing criticisms in the Kaieteur News against Mothers Against Molestation for picketing and protesting against C.N. Sharma.
That exercise was a peaceful demonstration against the abuse of women and children by paedophiles who are prevalent in the Guyanese society, and ought to have been supported by all decent-minded citizens.  But maybe this categorisation is alien to the likes of Lurlene Nestor.
Any protest exposing immorality and lawlessness is welcome, and one would expect Lurlene Nestor to support such activities rather than criticise Mothers Against Molestation for exposing this hypocrite.
Or would Lurlene Nestor have preferred to see those mothers protesting by gyrating or baring their bottoms to all and sundry, as in the days of yore under the PNC administration?
Who knows, we may yet see some exhibitions of this before elections are held, since that behaviour formed a part of the PNC culture, although some seem to think otherwise.
Would Nestor’s reaction be the same if it were a demonstration against a government minister charged for a similar offence?
People like Nestor, Lewis, Kissoon, et al are quick to accuse the government of denying them the right to certain freedoms, although they are allowed to preach racism; commit treasonable acts; hold vigils; libel, malign and slander. They, however, condemn and demonise others for exercising that same right against actions that are clearly criminal in conduct.
“Mitta” Sharma, who conveniently feigns heart attacks whenever he is required to attend court, deserves no sympathy; and hopefully, an appropriate jail term would be imposed if and when he has been found guilty.
