ONCE again, the annual Kennard Memorial Turf Club (KMTC)-organised annual Boxing Day horse race meeting is set to gallop off at the club’s Bush Lot Corentyne track on Monday, December 26.
Nine races are carded for the day, with the feature being the B and Lower one-mile event which has an attractive first prize of $1M.
Owners of horses are asked to pay $3 000 for each horse at time of entry, failure of which would result in the horse’s name not appearing on the card’s official programme, while the club requires five horses to start any race or the third prize will not be paid and a further two horses if a fourth-place prize is to be paid.
Entries for this event close on Sunday December 19 and horse owners and trainers are required to enter their charges through any official of the KMTC, namely Justice Cecil Kennard (226-1399), 225-4818 or 623-7609), Shine (325-3192), Ivan Dipnarine (331-0316) Lionel Moonsammy (614-5812) or Isabella Beaton (325-3007) or (693-7812).
