WE are fast approaching the Christmas season once again, and so all kinds of firecrackers are appearing on the market.
Editor, there are some very dangerous firecrackers being sold, and they are accessible almost all over the city and country areas. These dangerous firecrackers or squibs can inflict serious injuries on innocent people, blowing off fingers, causing injuries to the eyes, ears & other parts of the body.
They can also shatter the windows of cars and houses, and cause much damage to the roofs if exploded on these surfaces. We nust also not forget the sick folks, children & animals.
Many people buy these dangerous squibs to play ‘war games’ with their friends and neighbours, little  realising the danger if one should shoot off in a wrong direction and explode in a crowded area.
I am pleading with the relevant authorities to look into the sale of these dangerous squibs around the country. They must be seized.
