Cabinet gives green light to five multi-million-dollar contracts

AT a post-Cabinet media briefing yesterday, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon advised that Cabinet, at its October 18 statutory meeting, offered its no objection to five contracts that will see further development of the agriculture, finance, and justice sectors and in the area of sport and infrastructure.
The approved contracts are as follows:


SECTOR TENDER VALUE OF AWARD
Agriculture Construction of drainage and irrigation control structures at West Watooka, Region 10. $18.6M
Sport Construction of the synthetic track and field facilities at the Leonora Community Centre Ground, Region Three. $113.05M
Finance Supply and delivery of computer equipment for the Guyana Revenue Authority. $47.89M
Justice Rehabilitation of the Chambers of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and sub offices. $22.2M
Infrastructure Remedial works to the breach section of the river dam at Fort Ordnance, Region Six. $26.6M
