THE Mayor and Councillors of the City of Georgetown have expressed profound sadness at the passing of Councillor Mr. Zaman Ali last Monday. Mr. Ali became a Councillor of the Georgetown Municipality in 1994, when the incumbent council came into office, and he served on City Works and Legal Affairs committees.
Councillor Ali used to vigorously represent the concerns of all the citizens of Georgetown.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children and other relatives,” a release from the Council said yesterday.
