TWO lucky persons, who visited the Evergreen Adventures booth during the recently concluded GuyExpo 2011 Trade Fair, were rewarded, on Tuesday, with an all expenses paid trip for two of Guyana’s most beautiful destinations, Baganara Island Resort and Kaieteur Falls. The fortunate duo reaped the rewards for participating in the promotional activity staged by the tour operators at the exhibition, which encouraged visitors to the display in the Tourism village to fill out coupons, with their names and addresses, to win the prizes, compliments of Trans Guyana Airways.
According to the Operations Manager at Evergreen Adventures, Mr. Abdoul Ba, the promotion was designed to give back to customers and supporters.
He said all of the participants’ contact information would be stored in the company’s data base, allowing them to be alerted, automatically, in the event of any further promotional activities.
Ba pointed out that Evergreen Adventures has been participating in GuyExpo since its inception and, this year, it was happy to be a part of a newly introduced concept to the annual trade fair
He explained: “This year, we were approached by the Ministry of Tourism and they told us about the new concept of the Tourism Village, where all the stakeholders were to be in one area. We were happy to be a part of this.”
He said the participation served to strengthen their business, especially because they were part of a bigger group, this year, comprising various stakeholders in the Tourism Sector.
“The show is growing and getting more organised and putting us together makes us feel stronger. The idea of the Tourism Village is an excellent one,” Ba acknowledged.
He announced that, this Christmas, customers and supporters will benefit from even more exciting deals.
Meanwhile, the recipients of the complimentary trips, Ms. Nadira Tahal and Mr. Deryck Sattan both expressed appreciation to Evergreen Adventures for the opportunity to see the exotic tourist attractions.
“I have never been to Kaieteur Falls before and only ever dreamed of going there. Now, thanks to Evergreen Adventures, I can go and see the beauty for myself. I am so excited,” Tahal said.
Sattan received a complimentary trip for two to Baganara Island Resort, located along the Essequibo River.
