TWO brothers Sherwin and Belvin Austin sponsored T20 cricket competition is set to bowl off this Sunday in Pomeroon. According to a press release, the competition will see six teams namely Cotton Field Wild Oats, Devonshire Castle, Walton Hall, Charity, Super King of Lower Pomeroon and Eagles of Upper Pomeroon River doing battle for an undisclosed sum.
The finals of the competition which is expected to attract four national players from Georgetown, will be played under lights and according to the Austins, the tournament is being played with a view of promoting T20 cricket in the area, while they seek to put new interest into same.
