‘Red Light’ Hardy predicts knockout

SIMEON Hardy is super confident going into Friday’s fight against Winston Pompey. Hardy, regarded by many as boxing’s Red Light because of how he stops opponents, is coming off a super- fast 20-second knockout of Patrick Boston.
He has promised that Pompey will take pattern from Boston when the two welterweights meet during the 18th edition of Friday Night Fights at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
So confident is Hardy that he is looking beyond Pompey to a possible match with Guyana’s first world champion Andrew `Sixhead’ Lewis.
“This fight is six rounds but I know that it will not last that long. I will stop Pompey very early. He may go faster than Boston,” Hardy predicted.
