(REUTERS) – Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Amir has escaped further punishment for flouting his five-year ban by playing for Surrey League side Addington in a league match. Earlier this year, the 19-year-old was banned by the ICC for a minimum of five years for bowling deliberate no-balls during a Test match in England last summer.
Team-mates Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt also received bans for the same offence, but Amir turned out for the Surrey Cricket League Division One side in June, prompting the ICC warning.
“Mohammad Amir has been warned and has been provided with further clarification as to the terms of his suspension,” said an ICC spokesman.
