Is this the end of the Mr Klass’ dominance?

Letter to the Sports Editor
WITH the official announcement emanating from FIFA’s Ethics Committee that Mr Colin Klass, former president of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has been provisionally suspended from all football-related activities, owing to incriminating evidence suggesting his knowledge of financial impropriety in the cash-for-votes scandal.
Mr Sports Editor, this development definitely lends credence to my point that “as a member of CFU’s Finance Committee, Mr Klass would have had prior knowledge of the financial deliberations at the CFU meeting, held in Trinidad and Tobago on May, 10 & 11, 2011”.
Further, the individual has been  described as a former ally of Mr Austin ‘Jack’ Warner! So with Mr Warner resigning as Vice- President of FIFA and President of  CONCACAF and CFU, the writing was on the wall.
Mr Warner automatically had charges dropped against him from the ongoing investigation by the Ethics Committee, with the final pronouncement “presumption of innocence”.
So, in actuality with Mr Warner out of the way, the  CFU was left to fend for itself; which would be a cakewalk for the Ethics Committee! That a total of 16 individuals were sanctioned albeit, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, led by  Mr Klass, the most senior of them all, speaks volumes for itself. Surprisingly there is no Jamaican, led by Captain Burrell or from Suriname!
With an iron-like fist; micro-management and dictatorial policies, Mr Klass had in the past ruled our nation’s football! As such it’s now pertinent that fearfulness be replaced by fearlessness and in a unified voice demand Mr  Klass’ resignation! The wait-and-see game on the outcome of the investigation, would only give credence to supporting wickedness.
Since a provisional suspension, simply means that the investigation is ongoing, and at the end of the day there would be enough incriminating evidence to sink Mr  Klass.
As my late mother used to say “at the end of the longest prayer is amen”. And as I would always say to a Vice President of one of the city’s leading clubs. “The ballot would not be the medium to remove Klass but rather he of himself, digging his own grave with his fingernails”.
Is this the hour? Definitely yes! What remains interesting is if the President (ag) of the  GFF, extends the peace pipe to the GFA, in pursuit of withdrawing the injunction and award the voting rights! Then proceed with the AGM/Elections of Office-Bearers, and in the process bring an end to Klass’ dominance.
