Two shot, one dead over refused shop credit
POLICE are investigating an incident that occurred on Monday morning, at Powis Backdam, Five Star, North West District, during which Emanuel Evans, of Kuru Kuru, Soesdyke/Linden Highway was shot and killed. Another man, who was, allegedly, shot by the same businessman but not yet identified, suffered injuries.
According to the Police, investigations so far reveal that the two men went to the businessman’s shop where they requested goods on credit but were refused. An argument ensued and it is alleged that the shopkeeper drew a fireman and shot the men.
While Evans succumbed, efforts were being made to get the, up to then, unidentified other man to Port Kaituma Hospital.
Meanwhile, the shooter fled the scene and has not yet been arrested, Police said.
