CLINTON Kissoon, 46, of Lot 85 William Street, Kitty, Georgetown was refused bail yesterday on two robbery under arms charges.
Before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton, he was charged, indictably, with having, on August 10, being armed with a gun, robbed Ovid Doobay of $1,500 and, the same day, robbed Doobay, at gunpoint of five television sets, valued $896,796, property of Fazil Hamid. Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, objected to pre-trial freedom for the accused, pointing out that he has a similar case in another court.
The prosecutor said Kissoon, allegedly committed other offences, while on bail and the application by attorney-at-law Mr. George Thomas was denied.
The cases will be called, again, on October 25.
