CLIVE Pillew, 34, of Lot 3035 North Ruimveldt and Jarrel Emanuel, 24, of Lot 3653, also in North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday, on separate charges of receiving stolen property and larceny from the person. Pillew pleaded not guilty to having, on August 7, received from Emanuel one Blackberry cell phone valued $50,000 property of Candace Toney, knowing it to be stolen or unlawfully obtained.
The charge against Emanuel said he stole the phone from Toney on August 6 but he pleaded not guilty, too.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, had no objection to bail for either defendant, who were each ordered to post $35,000 until October 24.
