INDIA-based singing sensation Payal Seen, who is known for her melodious bhajans, and her renowned husband, sitarist Pt. Kinnar Kumar Seen, arrived in Guyana on Saturday last. Since their arrival, the duo has been conducting classes in table, sitar and singing at the Dharmic Kendra in Prashad Nagar and the Oceanview Mandir, West Coast Demerara.
The daily classes are open to the public and commence at 9:00 hrs and 14:00 hrs respectively. After the week of classes they move to Berbice, where they will continue to teach all those interested in music at the Tain Kendra and Canje. Today, they will be in satsang at the Oceanview Mandir at Uitvlugt.
Those who love music can come and be enthralled by the beautiful voice of Shrimati Payal Seen at the Shri Krishna Mandir tomorrow at 19:00 hrs. She will be singing a diverse range of songs, bhajans, ghazals, film and folk songs.
She will be accompanied by her husband on table and sitar. They promise to make it an enchanting night of music. Bhojan will be served. Bring out the family and enjoy an unforgettable evening with the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha.
