TODAY, an action-packed Stag Beer-sponsored 20/20 Dominoes War and 5-a-side football tournament will unveil at Meadow Brook Drive Community Field as Gittens Promotions and FairFox Productions partner for the annual event. Eighteen teams have already been registered for the Stag Beer Affair Dominoes Competition while the football competition, which starts at 09:00hrs and concludes at 14:00hrs is open to any team desirous of registering while the Dominoes war will see the teams compete for the top prize of $150 000.
The runner-up teams will receive $75 000 and $50 000, along with trophies while the player to give the first double love will receive $3 000 and a trophy. Registration fee for the dominoes tournament is $12 000 and each team is expected to walk with a new pack of dominoes.
Some of the teams that will be in action are: Strikers, F&H Supremes, International 6, Next Level, Wild Bunch, Mix Up, TNT, Specialist, Robb Street Strikers, Brazil, Rage, Turning Point, Lions, Gangsters, Providence, West Side, Yk6, Frankie’s, Pressure Point, Regroup, Mean Machine, One Love, Impressors, Arsenal, Tone, Even Six, Mo Fire, Birds Nest, LRB and Straight Point.
The dominoes competition is scheduled to commence at 14:30hrs. A barbecue is also on and will be served from noon.
