THE  police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Brazilian national, Jose Virginia Souza, 58 years, which occurred at about 13:00 hrs on Wednesday August 03, 2011, at Rockstone, Essequibo River. The Police said its investigations so far have revealed that Souza, who was a miner, is “suspected to have drowned while dredging for minerals under water”. 
The body is presently at the Lyken’s Funeral Parlour awaiting a post mortem examination.
