MEMBER of Parliament of Region Two, Parmanand Persaud, has commended GECOM for reopening the claims and objections period.
Persaud said the exercise will enable hundreds of persons across Region Two to be registered and get their names on the final voters’ list, so they can vote for a government of their choice.
Persaud said he had observed that many persons in the region received their source documents only after the close of the last claims and objections period.
The MP also commended GECOM for taking a bold step to allow voters to get a third chance to get their names on the list.
