–Region Three Chairman assures
THE Windsor Forest koker in Region Three will be back in operation by tomorrow as work is ongoing on the structure, Chairman Julius Faerber told the Government Information Agency (GINA). He said that about a week ago, the koker encountered a problem when the guiding strip shifted and the door could not close.
“The guiding strip that is used to support the door for the opening and closing was removed because the bolt that was into the concrete became rotted and gave away,” Faerber said.
He pointed out that emergency works on the structure were undertaken by the region and that the Agriculture Ministry had also done some work previously on the door.
Meanwhile, Faerber assured that the area is quite safe and no flooding; damage to rice or any other cash crop or poultry was reported.
