Floodlight to play in New York next weekend

THE Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA) will be sending a team (Floodlight) to New York to take part in the Independence/Legend Cup softball tournament next weekend. The games will be played at Queens and Brooklyn on the July 1, 2 and 3, to  be hosted by the New York Softball Cricket League (NYSCL). Teams from many parts of North America, along with Floodlight, will vie for supremacy.
The GFSCA sent two teams to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in early March this year and Floodlight A were the runners-up in the Florida Cup Master tournament.
Players selected to play in New York are: Ishwar Persaud, Dharam Persaud, Richard Persaud, Hardat Singh, Armogan Gopaul, Ganesh Singh, Derick Ramoutar, Petamber Maharaj, Ricky Deonarain, Rahaman Khan, Mike Singh, Ray Amnay and  Unos Baksh.
