OUR opposition political parties are highly inconsistent. There are times when they speak out against certain things and at other times they seem to want to get involved in the same issue they criticised. Kaieteur News recently carried a story in which it was reported that the Joint Opposition was holding talks with Norwegian officials and members of the JOPP questioning how the funds are spent and pronouncing on what it should be spent for. This shows just how inconsistent is the opposition, because since they heard about the government’s Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) they have been criticising the Strategy and have been telling people that this will not manifest.
We have all seen the funds being approved and here we are going to have another sum. I believe that the opposition should get its act together and decide what their position really is, because on one hand we have seen them criticising and then on the other hand, they now want to have a say in the matter.
This is typical of the opposition because we have seen them criticizing for the sake of criticising. They can’t seem to hold on to a definite position or offer constructive criticisms.
