KEYON Joseph alias ‘Fine Man’, who wounded Marlon Prince after throwing derogatory remarks at him, was fined $20,000 by Magistrate Roby Benn, on Wednesday, at New Amsterdam Court.
But the defendant opted to serve the alternative four months imprisonment.
Joseph, who is also facing a charge of break and enter, saw the virtual complainant walking along Cossack Dam, Mount Sinai, also in Berbice and called him the false name ‘pussy hole’, then chopped him on the left side of his face and inflicted a stab to his right upper forearm.
Police Corporal Orin Joseph, prosecuting, said, after the May 31 incident, Prince reported it to the Central Police in New Amsterdam.
